Nordstrom Internships – FAQ.
Answers to the most commonly asked questions that interns have about working for Nordstrom.
Question: When can I apply for a summer internship?
Answer: Corporate internships are posted in October and November. These postings are closed when Nordstrom close to final selections, which is usually in December or January.
Question: Can I apply for more than one internship?
Answer: You are welcome to apply for the internships you’re interested in. However, Nordstrom recommends you apply for internships that align with your degree program.
Question: I don’t see an internship posted that aligns with my interests and/or degree program. Are there other opportunities available?
Answer: All of Nordstrom’s available internships are posted on the Nordstrom Careers page.
Question: Do you have internships other than the ones in the summer?
Answer: No, not at this time.
Question: Can I still intern if I have already graduated?
Answer: Unfortunately, no. The internship programs are designed for college students who are currently enrolled in an accredited institution.
Question: Is the internship open to all grade levels?
Software Engineering Internship: Open to all grade levels of undergraduate and Master’s programs
Merchandising Internship: Open to undergraduates completing degrees in 2019 and 2020
Retail Management Internship: Open to undergraduates completing degrees in 2019 and 2020
Finance Internship: Open to undergraduates completing degrees in 2020 Juniors.
Question: When does the summer internship begin?
Answer: The internship takes place every summer June through mid-August.
Question: What is the time commitment for the summer internship program?
Answer: 8-10 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week)
Question: Is the internship paid?
Answer: Yes. All Nordstrom internships are paid.
Question: Where are the internships located?
Corporate internships take place in Seattle, Washington.
The Retail Management Internship takes place in our full-line stores throughout the United States.
Question: Can I apply if I do not have a U.S. work authorization?
Answer: All applicants must have U.S. work authorization.
Question: Who do I address my cover letter to?
Answer: Nordstrom Internship Team.
Question: If I choose to submit a letter of recommendation, who and where do I send them?
Answer: Letters of recommendation are not required, but can be added as an attachment in the application process.

Answer: All applicants must complete the online application and attach a resume.

Answer: After your application is submitted, we’ll review your materials and determine next steps. We’ll either contact you for an interview or notify you that we’ve chosen other candidates. Please be patient, as it may take a few weeks from the time of your application for us fully review your information.
